waiting for death
peacefully. perhaps

ness: space? cavern
of a body, dark inside
holds blackness just like

inhabited by astronauts
sometimes but mostly by
stillness: death, inside
of the quiet mind she
surfaces. escape!!!!!
escape the innocent
act of dying even
in the viscous dark
of the mind. eye

a serpent… fiction
or reality? I am half
college educated
but my best guess
is fiction, death isn’t
held by memory or
mouth, she waits
just outside maybe
in eternity if we could

fathom something
